- Four Poster Queen Bed
The Palace Chambers room is located on the first floor at the rear of the house overlooking the gardens. The room features a four-poster rice-carved queen bed, 32" television, iPod docking station/clock radio and private bath with a large shower.
Reminiscent of the Old South, a rice bed brings back the elegance and intricate carvings of a forgotten era. A wealthy plantation, plentiful wood, a master craftsman and money combined to create a bed to reflect the style and grace of the antebellum south.
This room is painted after one of the primary paint colors originally painted in the Governor's Palace, home to seven royal governors. Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson.
