  • Four Poster Queen Bed
The Russell House room is located in the back of the house upstairs. The room has three windows overlooking our award-winning gardens and historic Williamsburg area homes. The room features a four-poster rice-carved queen bed, 32" television, iPod docking station clock radio, and private bath with a traditional tub / shower.

Reminiscent of the Old South, a rice bed brings back the elegance and intricate carvings of a forgotten era. A wealthy plantation, plentiful wood, a master craftsman and money combined to create a bed to reflect the style and grace of the antebellum south.

William Russell was an army officer and a prominent settler of the Southwestern Region of the Virginia Colony. He was educated at the College of William & Mary and married to Elizabeth Henry, a sister of Patrick Henry.
